Journalism strengthens democracy, says TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud

Nizamabad, March 9 (UNI) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud on Monday said that democracy can be strengthened only when journalism—the fourth pillar of society—remains strong, and assured that efforts would be made to resolve the long-pending issues faced by journalists.
Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of the Nizamabad Urban Press Club at Basava Garden in Nizamabad city, Goud said the government is committed to addressing the problems of journalists, including their long-standing demand for housing plots.
He assured that he would bring the issue to the government’s attention and work towards resolving it at the earliest.
