Josh Inglis tears apart CSK bowlers in PP, Shahbaz cameo in final overs guides LSG to 203 for 8

Chennai, May 10 (UNI) Opener Josh Inglis tore apart the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowlers in the powerplay with a cracking half century, before the home team pulled back in the middle overs, but lost their way in death as bottom placed Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) posted 203 for eight in their key IPL match at the M A Chidambaram Stadium here on Sunday evening.
After Inglis' pyrotechnics blasting nine fours and six sixers, plundering 77 (25 balls) of the 91 runs scored by LSG in the powerplay, the visitors lost regular wickets in the middle overs, including two in an over of medium pacer Jamie Overton who got rid of both Inglis and skipper Rishab Pant (15, 2x4).
But they managed to consolidate it in the death overs, scoring 49 runs in the final five overs, thanks to left hander Shahbaz Ahmed, who provided the much needed final flourish, remaining unbeaten on 43 in 25 balls (3x4, 3x6)and Himmat Singh (17, 1x4, 1x6).
