JK police crack theft case in Srinagar, accused arrested

Srinagar, Apr 21 (UNI) Jammu & Kashmir Police on Monday said they have cracked a theft case in Srinagar district with the arrest of the accused involved.
Police said on April 15, they have received a written complaint from Tauseef Ahmad Mir of Kaksarai, stating that during the intervening night of April 14-15, unknown person(s) had stolen approximately Rs. 10 lakhs from a drawer inside his shop in Kaksarai, Srinagar.

Police seek fresh custody of wrestler Sushil in illegal firearm probe

Chandigarh, 17 (UNI) Haryana Police have questioned wrestler Sushil Kumar after bringing him to Jhajjar on a production warrant in an ongoing investigation related to the recovery of an Italian-made firearm. GSI flags human error behind Shimla sinkhole incident, recommends ban on blasting

Shimla, Dec 17 (UNI) A study conducted by the Geological Survey of India (GSI) has stated that the sinkhole incident at Bhatakhufar on the Kaithlighat-Shimla National Highway was primarily caused by human-induced factors, notably persistent water leakage from underground pipelines and vibrations generated during tunnel construction for the four-lane project.
