Jitendra Singh proposes AI-Driven curriculum for “smart governance” at IIPA

New Delhi, April 15 (UNI) union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh, has proposed positioning the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) as a national hub for building artificial intelligence (AI) competencies among public sector officials and developing a curriculum for AI-driven “Smart Governance,” marking a major step toward institutionalizing technology-led administrative reforms in India.
Addressing the 72nd Founder’s Day of IIPA and delivering the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Memorial Lecture on the theme “AI for Sushasan (Good Governance),” the Minister said that IIPA could coordinate with organizations such as the Capacity Building Commission, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG), LBSNAA Mussoorie, and the Department of Administrative Reforms to design training frameworks for AI-enabled governance.
Emphasizing IIPA’s academic credibility and legacy, he noted that the institute is uniquely positioned to prepare such a curriculum and serve as a national hub for public sector capacity building.
