Jigra teaser shows Alia in new avatar

Mumbai, Sep 8 (UNI) The teaser of Alia Bhatt's upcoming film Jigra has been released, showcasing the new avatar of the actress. Filmmaker Karan Johar shared the teaser on his Instagram account, hinting at a powerful story ahead.
In the movie, Alia Bhatt's character is shown dealing with family struggles and courageously facing adversity. The film is scheduled to be released on October 11.
The teaser of Jigra shows Alia in tears and telling someone about her painful childhood. The song 'Phoolon ka taaron ka sabka kehna hai....' plays in the background.
The emotional trailer reveals snippets of storyline, highlighting the themes of resilience, determination, passion and showing courage in adversity and Alia performing some action scenes.
The film stars Vedang Raina as Alia's brother. Manoj Pahwa is also playing an important role in the film, guiding her in the trailer and saying dialogue, "Bachchan nahi banna hai bach ke nikalna hai", in response to which Alia says, "Ab toh, Bachchan hi banna hai".
Recently Alia revealed she took basketball classes for the film. Alia was trained authentically and a coach was hired by film's director Vasan Bala, to add more grace to the role.
The film is presented by Viacom 18 studios, Dharma productions and Eternal Sunshine productions. The film is produced by Apoorva Mehta, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and her sister Shaheen Bhatt and Somesh Mishra.

Admitting his tensions regarding the July 5 concert scheduled in Birmingham, the ‘Godfather of Heavy Metal’ told Music Week in an interview said "This would be a big, monumental thing if it all comes good."

"The worrying thing for me is the unknown. We don't know what's going to happen,” he added.
