Jharkhand: JSLPS team reviews gender justice practices in Simdega

Simdega, Dec 16 (UNI) A team from Kurdeg block under the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) undertook an exposure visit to the Gender Resource Centre and Gender Justice Centre at Tethaitangar to understand their operational framework, officials said on Tuesday.
The visit focused on learning best practices in gender case work, including case management, documentation, counselling and referral mechanisms. Members of the Tethaitangar gender team shared field-level experiences and practical approaches to handling gender-related issues.
A total of 32 participants, including cluster heads, gender CRPs, JSLPS staff and practitioners from Kurdeg block, took part in the visit. Officials from Tethaitangar block and JSLPS were also present during the interaction.

BJD slams Odisha govt amid concern over proposed termination of Bhubaneswar-Dubai direct flight

Bhubaneswar, Jan 21 (UNI) The Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday slammed the BJP-led government in Odisha for the proposed termination of tri-weekly direct flight service from Bhubaneswar to Dubai saying that “it exposes the inefficiency of the government to safeguard the larger interest of air travellers to the global travel hub”.
