Jharkhand: Jamtara gets Rs 4.5 crore special allocation as govt patients' distress calls

Ranchi, Dec 16 (UNI) The Health Minister has allocated Rs 42 crore to ensure that no patient's treatment is halted due to lack of funds.
Of this, Jamtara district has been granted a special allocation of Rs 4.5 crore, providing significant relief to patients at the local level.
The Health Minister stated that over the past several days he had been receiving distress calls round the clock from patients and their family members. Many informed him that while treatment was underway outside the state, it was being discontinued midway due to acute financial constraints. Several families were on the brink of collapse, and the situation for many critically ill patients had become extremely grave.
