Jharkhand HC orders installation of CCTV cameras in all P[olice Stations by December 31

Ranchi, Nov 18 (UNI) The Jharkhand High Court has directed the state government to install CCTV cameras in all police stations across the state by December 31, stressing that the process must be completed within the stipulated timeframe to ensure transparency and prevent any unlawful activities inside police premises.
The directive was issued on Tuesday during the hearing of a petition filed by 'Property Realty Private Limited,' Shouvik Banerjee, and others.
In the previous hearing, the court had ordered the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DGP, and the IT Department Secretary to appear in person. Complying with the order, all senior officials were present and submitted a progress report before the court.
