Jharkhand explores global collaboration on megalithic heritage conservation

Ranchi, Jan 23, (UNI) As part of the 'Jharkhand @25' international outreach programme in the United Kingdom, an official delegation led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a high-level interaction with Historic England, the UK’s public body responsible for heritage conservation.
The meeting focused on exploring collaboration in the areas of conservation, research, documentation, and global recognition of Jharkhand’s ancient megalithic and monolithic heritage.
During the interaction, the Jharkhand delegation highlighted the State’s unique distinction as one of the few regions in the world where megalithic traditions continue as living cultural practices. These traditions remain deeply embedded in the social and spiritual lives of tribal communities.
