Jharkhand begins profiling fugitive criminals abroad for extradition efforts

Ranchi, June 11 (UNI) The Jharkhand Police have initiated a process to profile wanted criminals and gangsters believed to be operating from foreign countries as part of efforts to facilitate their extradition through international channels, including Interpol.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has asked all district Superintendents of Police and Senior Superintendents of Police to furnish detailed information on fugitives who have fled abroad and are allegedly involved in criminal activities linked to Jharkhand.
Official sources said a standard profiling format has been circulated seeking details such as name, parentage, passport number, recent photographs, criminal antecedents, fingerprints, and information on the country where the accused is believed to be residing.
