JD(U) rubbishes claim of Lalu on NDA not winning Bihar assembly polls

Patna, Feb 14 (UNI) JD(U) Working President Sanjay Jha on Thursday rubbished the claim of RJD chief Lalu Prasad that BJP would not be in a position to form the government after the next Bihar assembly elections this year.
Jha told media persons here that Prasad had lost political relevance and credibility, and there was no need to take notice of what he was talking about. How could Prasad claim that NDA would not be in a position to form the government after the next Bihar Assembly elections when people had already rejected him 20 years back, he pointed out.
" RJD was ousted from power in 2005 and since then party has been losing Lok Sabha and Assembly elections one after the other ", JD(U) leader said adding that people had been giving blessings to Nitish led NDA government for the last 20 years and it would continue in next assembly elections as well. It was certain that NDA would win assembly elections with greater margins and more seats, he added.

Calcutta HC cancels 1,600 supernumerary teaching posts for upper primary, terms it illegal

Kolkata, Dec 4 (UNI) The Calcutta High Court on Thursday cancelled 1,600 additional or ‘supernumerary’ posts created by the West Bengal government in upper primary teaching posts for vocational and physical education.
The order of cancellation of 1,600 additional posts was passed by the Calcutta high court single bench judge Justice Biswajit Basu.
