Jay Prakash Singh returns to BSP, appointed in-charge of Odisha and West Bengal

Lucknow, Nov 8 (UNI) In a significant political development, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has begun a renewed effort to strengthen her party by bringing back influential former leaders. As part of this strategy, former senior BSP leader Jay Prakash Singh has rejoined the party, sources confirmed on Saturday.
Following his return, Mayawati appointed Singh as the party in-charge for Odisha and West Bengal. Sources said that talking to some journalists, Singh disclosed that he met Mayawati in Delhi on Friday, where she entrusted him with his new responsibilities. “Behenji told me that with the West Bengal Assembly elections approaching, it is important to strengthen the organization. I am grateful to her for giving me this opportunity again,” Singh said.
He further pledged his complete loyalty to Mayawati and the BSP, adding that he would soon head to West Bengal to expand the party’s organization and spread its ideology among the people.
