Javadekar alleges Kerala CM, Cong cheating people on Waqf in Munambam

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 12 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the Congress are making false promises to the people in Munambam, senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Prakash Javadekar alleged on Tuesday.
Javadekar, also the BJP in-charge in Kerala, said because of the Waqf claim over 400 acres of land in Munambam village in Ernakulam, 610 families, most of them Christians, are affected..
The state government has no legal right to interfere into the activities of the Waqf board which has unrestricted powers to declare any property as Waqf land, he pointed out.
