Jammu Police nab interstate drug peddlers with 11 kg opium

Jammu, July 14 (UNI) In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Jammu Police has achieved a major breakthrough by apprehending two drug peddlers during routine naka checking leading to the recovery of a large quantity of Ganja (opium) in Miran Sahib area here in the city outskirts.
Police said that during a routine checking at Balol, a motorcycle was intercepted and during frisking, 11.6 Kgs of Ganja was recovered from two persons and they were taken into custody.
The arrested accused persons have been identified as Girdhari Lal of Mandnipur, District Chaterpur MP and Suraj Kumar of Jamalpur District, Mangair, UP.
