Jai Ram Thakur hits out at CM Sukhu over Gandhi remarks

Shimla, Oct 14 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister and leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur has strongly criticized Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for his recent remarks claiming that Himachal Pradesh would remain indebted to the Gandhi family for the state's development, and that Priyanka Gandhi's house construction has boosted tourism in the region.
Thakur responded by questioning the logic behind such statements. He said the Chief Minister's comment that Priyanka Gandhi building a house in Himachal is a major contribution has left people across the state confused and surprised.
He added that even after much consideration, it's unclear what benefit the state has actually received from her building a private residence, and that the public deserves an explanation.

ED searches Phagwara export firm for suspected FEMA breaches, recovers cash and papers
