J&K police to intensify anti-drug drive

Srinagar, Apr 14 (UNI) The anti-drug campaign in Jammu and Kashmir is set to gain fresh momentum, with J&K Police planning to intensify efforts in the coming days to curb the menace of substance abuse.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir V K Birdi on Tuesday said that a renewed push is being initiated under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan with strict directions issued to all concerned departments, particularly the police, to adopt a zero-tolerance approach against drugs.
On the sidelines of Baisakhi celebrations at a Srinagar Gurudwara, the IGP told reporters the objective of the intensified campaign is to safeguard both the present and future generations from falling prey to drug addiction.

Jammu, May 19 (UNI) The Chief Principal Census Officer and Director Census Operations, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Amit Sharma has said that more than 1.50 lakh households across the union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir have successfully completed their Self-Enumeration exercise within the first three days of the launch of Self-Enumeration under Census 2027 through the official Self-Enumeration portal se.census.gov.in.
