J&K Police launch crackdown on drug mafia, attach immovable property of detenue in Kathua

Jammu, May 21 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday attached immovable property of a detenue lodged in Kathua jail in a crackdown launched against drug mafia in Kathua district.
Police said that during crackdown, the immovable property comprising six Kanal 18 Marlas of land and a single-storey residential house with a basement, with a total estimated value of approximately Rs 7 crores was attached.
The property belonged to a PIT-NDPS detenue, namely Harpaul Singh alias Balochi, resident of Ward No. 13, Tehsil and District Kathua, under the provisions of the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PIT-NDPS Act).
