Srinagar, Jan 19 (UNI) Gunshots were heard during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) conducted by the security forces in the Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district Sunday evening, officials said.
They said the security forces on a tip regarding the presence of militants in Zaloora area of Sopore launched a CASO.
During the searches, some gunshots were heard following which the cordon was further tightened and all exit points were sealed around the area.
The search operation is underway in the area, they said.
