Itanagar Police arrests accused in attempt to murder case

Itanagar, June 7 (UNI) The Itanagar Police has arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with an alleged attempt to murder case involving an assault on an auto-rickshaw driver near the Clock Tower area in Itanagar, police said on Sunday.
According to police, a written complaint was received at Itanagar Police Station on June 6 regarding an assault on an auto driver by another auto driver.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered as Itanagar P.S. Case No. 152/2026 under Sections 109(II) and 118(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertain to attempt to murder and voluntarily causing grievous hurt by a dangerous weapon.

Bengal: Six-year-old raped for more than a year; Cousin arrested

Kolkata, Jul 10 (UNI) A 27-year-old man working as a sales executive in a private company has been arrested for allegedly raping his six-year-old cousin for over a year.
The police identified the man as Rajib Biswas.
The girl was taken to the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on Thursday after she complained of pain and discomfort in her private parts to her parents, police sources said.
