Italian PM Meloni extends invite to PM Modi to visit Rome next year

New Delhi, Dec 10 (UNI) Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Rome next year. The invite was conveyed by Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani during his meeting with Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi Wednesday.
"Today there was a long meeting with Narendra Modi and the Indian Foreign Minister, and Modi accepted the invitation that I also brought on behalf of the Prime Minister (Giorgia Meloni)," he told journalists, adding, "he will come to Italy next year, and this is important," ANSA reported.
"Many topics were touched upon: the war in Ukraine, where Modi told me he pushed for peace by meeting Putin, the general situation in the world regarding the risks of war, and the issue of security on the Red Sea Sea routes, where the two countries will discuss coordinating the activities of their two navies."
