ISRO chief hails women-led US–India Space Forum

Bengaluru, Feb 10 (UNI) ISRO Chairman V Narayanan on Tuesday said the overwhelming presence of women leaders at the US–India Space Business Forum reflected India's emergence as a developed and progressive society, as nearly 80 per cent of the participants on the main stage were women.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the forum in Bengaluru, Narayanan said platforms related to space and high technology had traditionally been male-dominated. However, the scene at the US–India Space Business Forum marked a clear shift, with women taking the lead in shaping discussions on space business and international collaboration.
"When we talk about business opportunities in the space sector and see women leading the show, it clearly shows the direction in which our society is progressing," the ISRO chief said, expressing happiness over the change.
