Israeli tanks seize control of Rafah centre: Media

Rafah, May 28 (UNI) Eyewitnesses and the local media in Rafah on Tuesday reported that Israeli tanks have seized control of al-Awda roundabout in the heart of the city.
The roundabout is a key landmark housing major banks, government institutions, businesses, and shops, a BBC report said.
The Israeli army's takeover of the roundabout, located just half-a-kilometre from the Palestinian-Egyptian border on the southern side, was marked by intense artillery shelling.
