Israel refuses to open Rafah border crossing, restricts Gaza aid amid Hamas' inaction on returning hostage bodies

Jerusalem/Gaza City, Oct 14 (UNI) Israel on Tuesday announced that it won't be opening the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt on Wednesday, as mandated by the ceasefire deal.
The refusal to honour the deal's terms comes following Hamas not releasing the remains of 24 deceased hostages as mandated under the deal.
Israeli authorities have expressed increasing impatience and frustration with the terror group's inaction on the matter, and accused it of not abiding by its commitments for its own purposes, with IDF officials reporting that Hamas is yet to make any significant efforts to return the remaining bodies.
