Israel farming not required for Karnataka: KRRS

Mysuru, July 3(UN I) The Karnataka Rajaya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) today urged the State Government not to introduce Israel farming technology as it is not suitable and not required.
If the Israel model of agriculture is introduced in Karnataka, it would adversely affect our agriculture,” said Chief Secretary of Karnataka State Hasiru Sene Badagalapura Nagendra.
Addressing a press conference here Tuesday, he said “Our farmers have already been cheated by scientists and multinational companies. We will not let our farmers down this time."

Chhattisgarh: 20 Naxals arrested, 8 surrender in Bijapur

Bijapur, May 17 (UNI) Following conclusion of the Karregutta operation aimed at eliminating Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, the police in Telangana's Mulugu district have carried out a major crackdown on Naxal activities and have arrested 20 Naxals from various police station areas, including Wazed, Venkatapuram, and Kannigudem.
Those arrested include one Divisional Committee Member (DCM), five Area Committee Members (ACM), and 14 party members.
