ISME & Industry leaders plan future of management education

Bengaluru, June 24 (UNI) The International School of Management Excellence (ISME) held its Board of Studies (BOS) meeting to improve management education.
Over 30 senior leaders from top companies like Accenture, JP Morgan & Chase, Grant Thornton, Infosys, Acer, and Reliance Retail joined the meeting.
They discussed how management courses should match today’s fast-changing business world. The focus was on building practical skills in sales, technology, and leadership.
Dr. Nitin Garg, Director of ISME, said, “We already teach many of these skills. The ideas from the meeting will help us improve further.”
Dr. Rony Kurien, Dean of ISME, added, “Our course already includes digital and people-focused skills. These discussions show we are on the right track and help us update our programs.”
ISME’s course also includes topics like Project Management, Design Thinking, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). These are taught through SWAYAM and NPTEL platforms.
The meeting showed that both educators and industry agree: students must be ready not just for their first job but for a changing future.
