Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei injured lightly in US-Israel strikes

Tehran, March 11 (UNI) Iran's newly appointed supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei was reportedly wounded in the legs during the opening wave of US–Israeli strikes on Iran, according to a report by The New York Times, citing Israeli and Iranian officials.
Khamenei, 56, was named supreme leader on Sunday following the death of his father, Ali Khamenei, who was killed on the first day of the conflict when the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iranian targets.
Officials quoted in the report said Mojtaba Khamenei was injured during the same attacks, including wounds to his legs. The injuries may explain why he has not appeared publicly or released a video message since his appointment as the new head of state.
