Hackers stole personal data of over 3 million Pentagon employees

Washington, Sep 29 (Sputnik/UNI) Hackers have stolen confidential data belonging to more than 3 million current and former Pentagon employees, including their Social Security numbers and employment details, ABC News reported citing a US military official. Last week, the Military Times newspaper reported a breach of the department's personnel data centre. Unauthorised access occurred between October 2025 and July 2026. The breach affected 2.76 million living individuals and another 294,000 deceased persons, the official said.
