Intermediate student brutally murdered by relative in Secunderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 8 (UNI) A 17-year-old Intermediate student was brutally murdered in broad daylight by her close relative at her home in Warasiguda, Secunderabad, on Monday, police said.
The accused, identified as Umashankar, allegedly slit the girl’s throat with a knife following a personal dispute.
According to police, Umashankar, who works in the tiles industry and is known to be a heavy drinker, had developed resentment towards the young girl after she reportedly began distancing herself from him. The girl’s parents had recently arranged her marriage to Umashankar, who is her maternal uncle, but disagreements soon arose between them.
