INTACH laments destruction of Heritage Well near Ananta Vasudeva Temple in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Nov 12 (UNI) The Bhubaneswar chapter of INTACH has expressed grave concern over the destruction of a heritage well near the 13th-century protected Ananta Vasudeva temple in Bhubaneswar.
The heritage well has been filled in, and concrete platforms are being constructed on the landfilled area, alleged Anil Dhir, convenor of INTACH's Bhubaneswar chapter.
He noted that the well’s water was historically used in preparing prasad before the introduction of piped water.

Shillong, Apr 23 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will attend the funeral of Pope Francis at St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City on April 26, as many world leaders will attend to honour the spiritual leader of the Roman Catholic Church.
“Sangma is scheduled to fly to Rome, Italy, from New Delhi on Thursday evening. He will be attending Pope Francis’ funeral service at a personal capacity, an official said on Wednesday.
