INOX Group to explore solar and wind power projects in Telangana

Davos/Hyderabad, Jan 22 (UNI) The Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy-led ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation held discussions with Devansh Jain, Director of INOX Group, at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos, as the company expressed interest in exploring opportunities to produce solar and wind power in Telangana.
The meeting focused on potential cooperation in advanced and sustainable manufacturing, including solar modules, aligned with Telangana’s broader plan to transform its CURE (Core Urban Region Economy) into a Net Zero, services sector-only metropolis.
IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the state is working towards shifting industrial energy requirements to clean electricity and green hydrogen, while also preparing to meet the growing demand for renewable power for datacentres. “Telangana is attracting a massive number of datacentres,” he said.
INOX Group, a diversified Indian conglomerate with a legacy of over 90 years, has operations across industrial gases, cryogenics, chemicals, renewable energy, and entertainment through PVR INOX. The company is planning to begin with renewable power generation in Telangana and later diversify into manufacturing, officials said.
The Minister highlighted the incentives offered to manufacturers under the new Telangana energy policy, including a preferred procurement policy for local manufacturers.
He added that Telangana has stayed ahead of other states in industrial growth due to policy continuity since the 1990s and said the government is now accelerating development through major infrastructure initiatives under the CURE-PURE-RARE framework of the Telangana Rising 2047 vision.
Revenue & Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy also participated in the meeting, according to an official statement on Thursday.
