IndiGo crisis sparks political storm, AAP targets centre over ‘failure of governance’

New Delhi, December 7 (UNI) The ongoing IndiGo airline crisis has triggered a sharp political attack on the Centre, with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accusing the Modi government of incompetence and collusion. AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said the disruption in air travel had caused unprecedented hardship to passengers and reflected a failure of governance.
Taking to X, Kejriwal wrote, “Indigo airline fiasco shows that Modi govt is either incompetent or in collusion. In either case, India deserves better. People have never suffered so much.”
Echoing similar sentiment senior AAP leader and Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia said that the recent fiasco was a game in which the public lost. “The safety of lakhs of passengers was blatantly jeopardized. Pilots and crew members were exploited. And the government—yes, the government of the country—knelt before one company and that company won,” Sisodia wrote on X.
