Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri meets Lionel Messi in Mumbai

Mumbai, Dec 14 (UNI) Former Indian national football team captain Sunil Chhetri greeted Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi at the Wankhede Stadium here today during the latter’s ongoing GOAT India Tour.
Chhetri, who currently captains Bengaluru FC, arrived at the stadium wearing a special GOAT India Tour kit bearing Messi’s iconic number 10 on the back. His arrival was acknowledged by loud cheers from the crowd, with spectators chanting his name as he entered the field.
The two footballers shared a brief hug on the field and posed for photographs. Chhetri also exchanged greetings with Argentine internationals Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul, who were present at the event.
