Indian Army establishes first IUI Centre in Arunachal

Itanagar, Jan 14 (UNI) In a significant boost to healthcare services in Arunachal Pradesh, the Indian Army has established the state’s first-ever state-of-the-art Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) Centre at Tenga in West Kameng district. The facility has been set up by the Kameng Healers of the Ball of Fire Division under the aegis of Gajraj Corps.
The newly inaugurated centre marks a major advancement in infertility care in the region, providing modern, accessible, and specialised reproductive health services to both civilians and service personnel in West Kameng and adjoining areas, a Defence spokesperson said on Wednesday.
On the occasion, a renovated Dental Section at the hospital was also inaugurated, further strengthening specialised medical services and enhancing comprehensive healthcare delivery in this remote border region. These initiatives underscore the Indian Army’s continued commitment to inclusive, patient-centric, and accessible healthcare, particularly in difficult and far-flung areas.
