India's retail inflation rises to 4.38 per cent in June

New Delhi, Jul 13 (UNI) India's retail inflation increased to 4.38 per cent for the month of June, said government data released here today.
The year-on-year food inflation in June was 5.32 pc, said the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) data.
Corresponding inflation rates for rural and urban region were 4.74 and 3.92 pc, respectively.
The housing inflation for the previous month was recorded at 2.10 pc.
According to the data, the top five key items with low inflation for the month of June were potatoes, peas, motor car and jeep, cumin and motor cycle and scooter.
On the other hand, top five items with high inflation were ginger, gold/diamond/platinum/ silver jewellery, tomato, raisin and monaco.
