India's future will be brighter if Maharashtra progresses further: Gadkari

Shirdi, Jan 12 (UNI) India's future will be brighter if Maharashtra progresses further, as the state is prosperous, and possesses the power to convert knowledge into wealth, Union Minister for Road and Highways Nitin Gadkari said here on Sunday.

Gadkari, speaking at a party convention in Shirdi. said it is the responsibility of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's government, MLAs and MPs to make the state more prosperous, establish social equality and create Shivshahi by using the power bestowed on them by the people.
There are problems in Maharashtra too, but the present government has the ability and faith to solve them, he said. "So we will not rest unless we bring Shivshahi," said Gadkari .
Gadkari also said with the strength of the dedication of the workers, the ability of the leaders and the party's doctrine of 'Rashtra Sarvopari'(Nation first), we will make Maharashtra rich and prosperous and play an important role in social equality, development and the development of the country".
"Swami Vivekananda had predicted that the 21st century would belong to India. It is our responsibility to fulfill that prophecy. We also want to fulfill the dream of a self-reliant India and to make India a global leader under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he said.
He said India aspires to become the world's third largest economy of five trillion dollars.
"Our aim is not to gain power but to change the society. (Late Prime Minister and BJP stalwart) Atal Bihari Vajpayee used to say that thinking about how the country should be is more important than how the country should be led. It is our responsibility to make the people of the country happy, to secure the borders of the country, to establish social equality and security by liberating the country from terrorists and communalism and to establish sovereignty in Maharashtra from the success gained from this victory," he said.
