India's engineering goods exports bounces back to its course registering 23.7 pc

Kolkata, Dec 15 (UNI) After falling sharply in October, engineering goods exports rebounded in November this year with the total value of engineering goods shipments estimated at USD11.01 billion in November 2025, an impressive 23.7 percent year-on-year increase from USD8.9 billion in the same month last year, according to EEPC India chairman Pankaj Chadha.
Cumulatively, the total engineering goods exports recorded 4.25 pc year-on-year growth in the April-November period of the current financial year and stood at USD79.74 billion.
The latest numbers are quite encouraging, especially in light of the 50 pc punitive tariff imposed by the Trump administration on the bulk of items in India's export basket.
The strong performance in November 2025 shows the resilience of the engineering industry and also how it has been swiftly adapting to the evolving global situation with constant support from the government, Chadha said.
"Going forward, we hope that the Indian engineering sector will successfully diversify its market. There are multiple trade deals in the pipeline, and they would help the sector deepen its presence in the global market. We are expecting that the government will finalize the guidelines for implementing the Rs 25,000 crore Export Promotion Mission (EPM)," the EEPC India chairman said.
