India’s active Covid cases tally dips to 6,483; 4 deaths reported in past 24 hours

New Delhi, June 18 (UNI) The number of active Covid-19 cases has been declining in recent days since June 16. Compared to the previous day, Covid-19 cases decreased by 353, bringing the total number of active cases down to 6,483 on Wednesday untill 8 am. Kerala which had highest number of infections too witnessed a dip in the cases by 275, bringing its tally down to 1384.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, overall 428 cases decreased on June 17, and 119 cases decreased on June 16. Now, the active case count has fallen below 6,500.

Four deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry, comparatively lower than the previous day when as many as 11 deaths were registered.

Of the four mortalities, two were reported in Maharashtra, while Kerala and Delhi reported one each. All four individuals were elderly and had existing respiratory ailments and other chronic conditions.
