India opt to bowl, debuts Nitish Reddy and Mayank Yadav

Gwalior, Oct 6 (UNI) India captain Suryakumar Yadav on Sunday won the toss and elected to field first against Bangladesh, citing the humid conditions and a belief that the pitch would favor bowlers as the game progressed.
"It’s always a great feeling coming back home and playing in home conditions," Suryakumar remarked. "The energy is great, and most importantly, the guys are keen to learn. That’s a great thing," he said.
This match marks a historic moment for Indian cricket, as Nitish Reddy and Mayank Yadav are making their debuts. Murali Kartik handed the cap to Mayank and Parthiv Patel to Nitish Reddy. The last time such an occurrence happened for India in a T20I was in January 2016 against Australia in Adelaide, when Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya received their maiden caps.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto acknowledged the youthfulness of his squad and expressed confidence in their preparations. "It’s a pretty new side. A couple of guys are coming for the T20s, and I hope they do something special in the series," he said. He also mentioned he would have preferred to bowl first, citing the favorable conditions.
As the match unfolds, fans eagerly await to see how the debutants perform and how both teams leverage the conditions in this thrilling T20 encounter.
