Independent MP Pappu Yadav arrested in decades-old cheating, fraud case

Patna, Feb 07(UNI) Independent MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, was arrested late Friday in connection with a three-decade-old cheating and fraud case, police said.
Police said that Yadav was arrested in a cheating, fraud and threatening case from his Mandiri-based residence in Patna. Yadav was taken from his Mandiri residence in Patna and underwent medical tests at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, officials added.
" Pappu Yadav had taken a building on rent by keeping its owner in dark to run activities of his party there in Gardanibagh locality of Patna in the year 1995," police officials said.
