In a record first, Indian pair of Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan occupies 1-2 slots in in ICC T20I batting rankings

Chennai, Mar 11 (UNI) Star Indian Left-handers Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan occupy the first two positions in the ICC Men's T20I batting rankings in what is the first instance of an Indian batting pair making it a one-two in the format, with Kishan also eying the chance to become the fourth Indian to top the T20I batting rankings.
In the bowling rankings, spinner Varun Chakravarthy's reign at the top ended, depsite emerging as the leading wicket taker with 14 scalps, but conceded far too many runs, while pacer Jasprit Bumrah, the player of the Match in the final for his four for 15 in the title clash, jumped one spot to reach the 6th position, while spinner Axar Patel and all round Hardik Pandya were ranked 17th and 46th, a statement from IC said on Wednesday. .
