Impact of AI: More Work, Fewer Jobs, Says Dr. Deshpande

Bhubaneswar, Aug 2 (UNI) The advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has ushered in exciting times, albeit with concerns regarding employment.
However, students must chart their own path by focusing on job creation, said Dr. Anand Deshpande, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Persistent Systems, during an interaction at SOA Deemed to be University today.
“We are moving towards a scenario where work will increase, but jobs will decrease. Instead of searching for jobs, you need to think about creating them,” Dr. Deshpande told the students.

Arguments on Sonam bail case conclude, Meghalaya HC lists matter for June 9

Shillong, June 8 (UNI) The Meghalaya High Court today heard the arguments of both against and in defence of Sonam Raghuvanshi, prime accused in the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, and listed the matter for Tuesday.
The single bench of Justice Wanlura Diengdoh heard the argument of S. Thapa, the legal counsel for Sonam, who has concluded his argument, challenging the criminal petition filed by the State government seeking revocation of the bail granted to Sonam by a lower court.
