Illegal immigrants found in border areas, racket issuing fake certificates found: Manipur CM

Imphal, July 19 (UNI ) Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said 24 Myanmar citizens were found in the border area during a search by a combined force.
The biometrics of all the 24 persons were taken. Illegal immigrants from Myanmar are not reporting to authorities and if the search was not conducted they would not have been detected, he said.
He also said in the report that some people living in the border areas were stopping the fencing of the international border. Addressing the media here on Friday at the CM Secretariat, he said the centre had implemented an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to regulate people coming from other parts of the country to Manipur.
