IIT Madras to prepare a draft plan to tackle road safety challenges in rural Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Aug 8 (UNI) The IIT Madras, with its strong reputation in road safety, will draft a comprehensive plan to effectively tackle road safety challenges in Odisha’s rural areas, with a special focus on mining regions.
Presently, the IIT Madras is actively partnering with various states in data collection, analysis, and solution development.
A meeting in this regard was convened here on Thursday chaired by Principal Secretary of Commerce and Transport Usha Padhi and attended by Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur, with representatives from IIT Madras.
