IIT Madras launches Diabetes Research Centre with alumnus funding in US Consul General's presence

Chennai, Sep 20 (UNI) The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) on Friday launched
a new research centre on Diabetes in the presence of US Consul General Chennai Chris Hodges to drive advancements in diabetes research and develop innovative technologies to address the most pressing challenges in diabetes care and associated complications.
This centre has been supported by generous funding from IIT Madras Distinguished Alumnus Awardee Mr. Subramonian Shankar (1971 - B.Tech - Electrical Engineering).
