IIT (ISM) Dhanbad enters QS World University Rankings for first time

Dhanbad, Jun 18 (UNI) IIT (ISM) Dhanbad has secured a place in the QS World University Rankings 2027 for the first time in its history, marking a significant milestone in the institute's century-long journey.
According to the rankings released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), IIT (ISM) has been placed in the 701-710 global rank band. Among 52 Indian institutions featured in the rankings, the institute secured the 21st position and ranked 11th among the 13 IITs included in the list.
Expressing satisfaction over the achievement, IIT (ISM) Director Prof Sukumar Mishra said the recognition reflected the collective efforts of the institute's faculty, students, staff, alumni, and stakeholders, and highlighted its growing academic and research excellence on the global stage.

Imphal, July 11 UNI : A few abandoned houses of residents belonging to the Meitei community near a security encampment at a village in Imphal West district were burnt on Saturday by a mob of Kuki miscreants evoking wide spread condemnations.
Two persons were apprehended for their alleged involvement in the incident, inviting condemnation from Chief Minister Y Khemchand, his predecessor N Biren and others.
