IHC launches 'IHC Connect' series with roundtable on media's role in public discourse

New Delhi, Dec 7 (UNI) The India Habitat Centre (IHC) has rolled out a new discussion platform, 'IHC Connect', aimed at encouraging informed and meaningful dialogue on issues shaping India's social landscape.
The series opened on December 5 with a roundtable on 'The Role of Media in Fostering Constructive Public Discourse,' organised in partnership with the Office of Public Affairs of the Baha'is of India.
The session examined growing concerns over the decline in the quality of public debate, driven by disinformation, polariSation, partisanship and the pace of social media. Speakers underscored the media's responsibility to prioritise facts, highlight issues of public relevance and ensure diverse voices are heard.
