ICMR report on rising cancer cases frightening, says Yadav, demands CM provide modern treatmment facilities

New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav has expressed concern over the data released by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) pointing to increasing number of cancer cases in Delhi, which he termed as frightening, and demanded the government take measures to help the people.
Yadav, on the basis of the report said that during the year 2024, the cancer cases reported were 28,387, and in the year 2023, the figure was 27,561, while back in the year 2022, there were 26,735 cancer patients in the city.
He said that cancer is such a dreaded word that anyone who hears it gets scared, and further accused the previous Aam Aadmi Party government and the present regime of being unable to provide modern facilities for the treatment of the disease in the hospitals, in accordance with the rise in cases.

SC seeks report from panel on deficiencies in Manipur relief camps
