IAF Issues NOTAM for major exercise over Arabian Sea, 200 nautical miles from Karachi

New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) In a significant projection of air power close to the Pakistan coastline, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) for a major military exercise over the Arabian Sea, to be conducted on December 10 and 11 — roughly 200 nautical miles from Karachi. The drill accentuates India’s operational readiness and strategic reach in a sensitive maritime-air corridor.
Last month, the IAF had issued a series of NOTAMs covering its entire northeastern region, which shares borders with China, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Bangladesh, in preparation for a large-scale exercise.
Officials had stated that the NOTAMs are planned across several dates over the coming months, with the first set taking effect on November 6 and 20, followed by another round on December 4 and 18. Additional notifications are scheduled for January 1 and 15, as the IAF continues its extensive exercises and operational drills in the region.
