Hyderabad’s hot climate increases dehydration risk, warns experts

Hyderabad, Feb 12 (UNI) As temperatures rise with the onset of summer, experts warned that Hyderabad’s hot climate and semi-arid geography put residents at a higher risk of dehydration, which often goes unnoticed until severe health complications arise.

Dehydration can manifest in different forms, with silent dehydration being particularly dangerous as it develops without triggering intense thirst, making it harder to detect. On the other hand, diarrheal dehydration, caused by infections or gastrointestinal issues, leads to rapid fluid loss and can be life-threatening, especially for children, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions.
