Hyderabad: Rahul Gandhi arrives to participate in plenary session at Bharat Summit

Hyderabad, Apr 26 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi arrived here on Saturday afternoon to participate in the plenary session at the final day of the two-day Bharat Summit at HICC here.
On his arrival at the Shamshabad airport here, Gandhi was given a warm welcome by Chief Minister A Revanthe Reddy and other senior congress leaders.
In the evening, Rahul Gandhi will participate in the summit's plenary session where the ‘ Hyderabad Declaration’ will be announced.
Originally scheduled for Friday, the plenary was deferred to Saturday following Rahul Gandhi’s sudden visit to Kashmir to meet with survivors of the Pahalgam terror attack.
His absence also led to Revanth Reddy skipping the summit’s opening day also.
The Bharat Summit commenced on Friday with a thought-provoking session titled ‘Gender Justice and a Feminist Future’, aligning with the summit’s overarching theme, “Delivering Global Justice.” The session featured a dynamic exchange among global leaders, policy experts and advocates working toward gender equity and inclusive governance.
In light of the terror attack at Pahalgam , the Union Home Ministry issued high alerts across states.
Security was tightened at the HICC venue and the Congress government kept the event lowkey on Day 1.
